Abstract

Inkesra of Sorong Regency 2024 is an annual publication presenting indicators that can be used to assess the welfare conditions of the people over time in Sorong Regency. The data is presented in the form of tables and graphs. In several review tables, the data is differentiated by gender to observe gender differences in certain aspects.In this publication, the welfare of the people is observed from various specific aspects, including population, health, education, labor force, consumption patterns and poverty, housing, and other social indicators. Based on the LongForm Sp2020 projections for 2021-2024, the population of Sorong Regency in 2024 is projected to reach 123,136 people, consisting of 64,508 males and 58,628 females.The improvement in the welfare of Sorong Regency's people in the health sector is evident, among others, in the percentage of residents experiencing health complaints, which does not exceed 10 percent. In 2024, the morbidity rate among male residents in Sorong is 7.24 percent, while that of female residents is 7.50 percent.In the education sector, the average population aged 15 years and older has graduated with at least a high school diploma or higher. From the aspect of consumption patterns, on average, monthly per capita expenditure in Sorong Regency in 2024 is dominated by non-food expenditures, accounting for about 50.21 percent of total monthly per capita expenditure (IDR 1,650,516.00), while the remainder is allocated to food expenditures (IDR 821,710.00). The condition and quality of the occupied house is one of the indicators that can reflect the socioeconomic status of households. In 2024, 92.61 percent of households in Sorong Regency occupy houses that they own.
