Development of Sorong Regency Consumer Price Index December 2024

December 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Regency will be 1.61 percent.

In December 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Regency will be 1.61 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.36.

Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising prices expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 4.91 percent; housing, water, electricity and home fuel groups stairs by 0.09 percent; group education by 0.69 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.35 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.37 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 0.23 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group amounting to 7.34 percent; health group at 0.67 percent; transportation group by 1.30 percent; and information, communication and financial services group at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, sports and cultural recreation group showed did not experience any changes.  

Month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in December 2024 by 0.40 percent. Meanwhile, the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in December 2024 is 1.61 percent.
